About the Neighborhood

It’s been a dream of mine to offer intelligent and good-hearted people a place to gather. It should have happened years ago but I couldn’t find a social platform that made me feel any desire to engage - until now! My idea was to make a friendly space where people can share ideas, connect on a personal level, exchange services or goods, participate in workshops or relax into live Friday night musical and artistic events... just like my favorite cafes!
Our Neighborhood brings all of this together without ads, algorithm tracking, and trolls…it is created BY us FOR us. Because we believe in the creative genius in each one of us, we now have a place to shine our own thoughts and desires into the world. You will each have your own page in the community directory to tell us who you are, what you love, and how to reach you (if you wish). You will also have your own feed, that tracks the conversations YOU have chosen to participate in (not someone else’s promotion of themselves). We are providing a place for pure, substantive engagement without distractions or data manipulation.
Our Neighborhood is like an actual neighborhood. People begin to move into their homes, plant some flowers and trees, reach out to neighbors, gather at one another’s homes, make new friends, and create community. The community is a direct reflection of the people who live there, people from all walks of life and of all beliefs.
